Important notice before purchase

1. The above values are reference values, the actual cutting width and thickness is subject to the leather quality , leather hardness, the proficiency and operation level of operators, they are very important factors affecting the cutting.

2. It is not suitable for soft and elastic leather materials. Thinning to thickness below 1.0mm requires very sharp new blade for operation. Because this is a small and simple thinning machine, if the machine is really very accurate, it will cost about 1000+USD. The development of this simple manual thinning machine (include the expensive international shipping Only cost about 100+USD) is just to solve some of the leather skiving requirement.

3. For optimal results, we recommend reducing the leather thickness by at least 0.8mm (e.g., skiving from 2.0mm down to 1.0mm). If you only need to remove a very small amount of thickness (less than 0.8mm), the leather may slip or fail to feed evenly into the blade, making it difficult to operate. For minor thinning, we suggest using wide skiver, or professional industrial-grade skiving machine instead.

4. The machine sharpness is directly related to the blade.It is recommended to replace the blade frequently or choose a higher quality blade.

5. Wipe the roller clean before use to prevent staining the leather. It is recommended to use scrap leather for test first.

1. Thickness Below 1.0mm Requirement:
Operate ONLY with extremely sharp blades to achieve precise skiving.

2. Workbench Fixation:
Secure the Machine: Use screws or G-clamps to fix the skiving machine to a larger and
heavier workbench (minimum weight: 50kg).

Risk Alert: Small/lightweight workbenches may tip over during operation due to forceful pulling. Purchase Advice: Avoid buying if you lack a stable workbench.

3. Maintenance & Safety:
Clean Debris: Clean leather scraps promptly from the blade area and feed roller shaft to
prevent jamming.
Blade Installation: Wear cut-resistant gloves and use tweezers when handling blades to
avoid blade cuts.
